The popularity of the Scottish Schools Indoor Championships shows no sign of abating. More than 650 athletes from 172 schools throughout Scotland attended last Thursday’s event at Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall, about the same number as last year. Unfortunately, the chance to represent Scotland indoors at the annual international with Ireland, Wales and England wasdenied, as the Birmingham event was cancelled.

Sportscotland’s coaching team will oversee 80 coaching workshops throughout the country within the next four months. The coaching team, which works closely with the National Coaching Foundation, now offers courses in the Western Isles and mid-Argyll. Contact the coaching team on 0131 472 3315.
