Scottish Athletics will host a young athlete development camp for 180 under-15s and under-17s at the national indoor athletics academy at Grangemouth on November 4-5.

The under-15s will concentrate on running, jumping and throwing skills, and schools athletes at under-17 level will have the chance to take a power quadrathlon test.

Two weeks later, the former top American sprinter Michael Johnson will headline Scottish Athletics’ International Coaching Conference in Glasgow on November 18. It will deal with preparing athletes for competition, from district level to international events.
