Back the Bac

IT a relief to read in your report (TES, October 6) that "Many English universities would prefer sixth-formers to take a baccalaureate-style qualification rather than the Government's new A-levels."

On my arrival in the UK from the Netherlands I was disappointing to find that only a limited number of schools offer the International Baccalareate.

This, while the IB organisation's curriculum and assessment centre is in Cardiff. I do hope Britons will have a serious look and discover that IB is an excellent programme that offers students unlimited possibilities for study at any university in the world.
