The race is on to find out which city will host the 2012 Olympic Games. As part of the campaign, the London 2012 committee is encouraging schools to get involved. Its website offers a downloadable assembly presentation for primary and secondary schools, including information about the Olympic ideals, encouraging pupils’ interest in the games. These are supported by teacher’s packs pointing out the key message in each slide. There are also downloadable teaching resources for English and citizenship, video clips and primary and secondary quiz sheets.
