As a teacher of citizenship, one of the subjects the Government is so keen to see taught “properly” to all young people, I am in total despair at the recent news regarding MPs’ expenses. We are expected to engender a sense of morality and honesty in our students, not to say a real interest in the political system in the UK. It is so difficult when those “in charge” of our country set such an appalling example.
