Christmas is coming, so it’s time for the Government’s traditional stuffing of journalists - by putting out bad-news stories at the time of year when newspaper readerships are at their lowest.

FErret has a few ideas about suitable stories: 1) The outcome of the auditors’ investigation into South London Learning and Skills Council, from which Vic Seddon quit as executive director after raising concerns about the quango’s financial dealings. 2) The outcome of the inquiry into alleged bullying at Nottinghamshire LSC and 3) The outcome of the inquiry into the resignation of Ahmed Choonara, principal of South Notts College, who alleges ill-treatment by, you guessed it, the LSC.
