BalancA new tool to help councils manage school budgets has been produced by the Audit Commission. At the click of a mouse they will be able to compare their performance with similar local authorities. The electronic spreadsheet contains school revenue balances in England’s 150 local education authorities. It shows how much money schools are given, how much is saved, spent and what on.
