Cup holder Marr College has been drawn away to Gryffe High in the quarter-finals of the boys’ senior open competition in the Royal Bank Scottish Schools Basketball Cup.

The last eight of the competition shows the strength of the game in Renfrewshire, with four of the area’s schools involved.

The full draw of the “A” boys’ quarter-finals is: Arbroath HS v Gleniffer HS; Portobello HS v Johnstone HS; Williamwood HS v Queen Anne HS; Gryffe HS v Marr Coll.

The ‘A’ girls’ semi-finals draw is: Arbroath v International School of Aberdeen; Gryffe HS v Portobello HS or Gleniffer HS or Mary Erskine HS.

Next month, Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth will host a basketball weekend for all age groups, on March 8-9.
