Scotland’s under-16 schoolgirls’ baskeball team, having beaten England 69-51 in the Dobbin Cup in Inverness last month, will face the “auld enemy” again in the Four Countries international in Killarney next weekend.

Scotland will also face Ireland and Luxembourg. Wales has pulled out of the event.

Angela Taylor (St Andrew’s Acad, Paisley) scored 37 points in the Inverness international, the second highest total ever by a female player in a Scotland match at any level.

Scotland’s under-16 schoolboys’ team also beat England in their Dobbin Cup match, winning 80-66 in Sunderland. Dunblane High’s Steven Turnbull was the top scorer, making 18 points.
