Basketball Scotland is changing its regional structure to enhance the development of young players. So far, 10 development groups have been established.

It is particularly wants to interest more girls, as part of the initiative to get more women involved, 50 years after the first Scottish women’s team went to Prague for a tournament. The governing body has named seven women’s ambassadors, including former Gladiator and current player Ali Paton.
