BBC German Grammar

By R Tenberg and G Rings. BBC Worldwide Publishing Pounds 5.99 German Grammar is the sort of book students will love and teachers will hate. There is nothing communicative about it, and content and context are at best arbitrary. What you do get are 36 grammar sections. The authors claim the book is jargon free, but readers will have to cope with technical terms such as "modal particles" and "variable prefixes". The book doesn't teach these points, but for those studying GCSE and above, it will be an excellent reference grammar.
