(Photograph) - ‘Be true to yourself and follow your dreams - but make sure you know what those dreams are.’ That was the message from singer, songwriter Joan Armatrading when she dropped in to Lochend Community High in Glasgow’s Easterhouse this week to deliver motivational messages to the school’s S3-S5 pupils, among them, left to right, Kirsty Brown, Carly Connor and Elizabeth MacLennan.
Gordon Shaw, the headteacher, described her contribution as ‘inspirational’. The talk is one of five Ms Armatrading is giving in the UK while on a world tour to promote her album ‘Into the Blues’, which is released next month
