John Dunford, general secretary of the Secondary Heads Association, should be delighted we are producing a nation of psychologists (TES, August 15).
Study of psychology produces widespread benefits for the student and for society. The subject encompasses several disciplines including English, maths and science. It also gives insights into the human condition.
This increased understanding of ourselves and other people provides a firm basis for success in any job anywhere. It’s not easy - but very useful!
