Bias bugbear

"KEEP advice free from bias" says Judith Norrington of the Association of Colleges, while Martin Whittaker claims "biased advice cheats pupils" (TES, March 21).

The problem is with schools with sixth-forms. They feel it is not in their interest to give honest and impartial advice about post-16 options to their pupils.
