Our report, Admission and discharge from secure accommodation, does not focus on criticism of staff in these units (“Secure units criticised”, August 13). We did find problems with the overall system, including with the continuity of support for young people when they leave such care. However, it would be unfair to the individuals working in these units to depict these difficulties as the fault of staff.
