EDUCATION Secretary David Blunkett has ordered an enquiry into why two of the three main exam boards are to drop Anglo-Saxon history at A-level. “Mr Blunkett believes that a full understanding of English history must include an understanding of Anglo-Saxon history,” said a spokesman.
