A touring anatomy exhibition is providing the basis for “unique” learning resources for art and design, biology and primary classes.

Anatomy Acts is giving pupils the chance to work with materials that previously were only available in universities. Siobhan McConnachie, who manages the Scotland Medicine project that aims to raise awareness of medical collections across the country, said: “The exhibits and the website are amazing and unique resources for learning across all disciplines. For teachers to use them opens them up to a new learning audience.

“The teachers who came on placement were so enthusiastic we hope we can have another teacher-placement programme as the exhibition tours.”

Anatomy Acts is now at Dundee University’s Lamb Gallery and the Gateway Galleries, in St Andrews, until January 13.
