An article headed “Deadline threat to schools over pound;1,000 book grant”, (TES, March 6) states that “the Educational Publishers’ Council has also issued guidance to members that books need not be on shelves by March 31”. This is incorrect.
The Educational Publishers’ Council has repeatedly advised its member publishers that the only safe course of action is to ensure that books are delivered to schools by March 31.
