THE Scottish Executive announced a pound;300,000 plan for 18 local learning partnerships this week.
This brings to pound;900,000 the amount awarded in the past three years for the partnerships, initiated under the previous government following recommendations by the Scottish Skills Forum.
The partnerships are seen as vital in developing the Government’s lifelong learning strategy.
Glasgow’s learning challenge fund supports 1,800 people in 16 projects in the city, and a skills for life and work campaign is being run by Renfrewshire Education Business Partnership.
