THE British Institute of Innkeeping reports that children are

buying alcohol from smugglers bringing in drinks from the

continent.

Also, the number of children taen to hospital suffering from the effects of drink is rising, says the institute. In Alder Hey hospital, Liverpool, the number rose from 20 in 1986 to 2,000 in 1996.
