Think of staff in a boarding school and you realise that bank holidays in term time are just normal working days. At Hordle Walhampton prep school for two to 13-year-olds in Lymington, Hampshire, the staff will also have held an open morning on this week’s bank holiday as well as running the normal school day. (It’s handy that potential parents will actually have a day off work to look round.)

Librarian Kate Myott tells us this is a “break-neck” term with masses of games and activities, including Saturday and Sunday sports events. So she wins this week’s Waitrose organic hamper, full of Duchy Originals goodies, to help boost energy in the staffroom.

The hamper contains a refreshinglemon drink, home-made jams and lemon curd, mouth-watering chocolates and crunchy biscuits. It usually costs pound;46 and is available exclusively from Waitrose Direct Gifts, at www.waitrose.

com, which delivers to any mainland UK address. For a chance to win one, just tell us why you and your colleagues deserve it. Send your message, marked Waitrose offer, by email or postcard to the address on the right.
