The Royal Television Society has elected educationist Naomi Sargant to its Hall of Fame. These annual awards are made to recognise a consistent contribution to television broadcasting over a number of years. Candidates are nominated by members of the society who represent a cross-section of professionals in television, from engineers and producers to students and presenters. This is the first occasion on which an educationist has been successful.

Naomi Sargant was a founder member of the Open University, as well as founding editor for education programming at Channel 4 for eight years.
