Gleniffer High’s Lorna Smith, who featured on these pages as a swimmer to watch in 2005, has been named in British Swimming’s youth world-class programme. She will benefit from an intensive 12-month programme under national youth coach Tim Jones, which is designed to develop future Olympic swimmers.
