Funds for leaders

A scheme to help teachers in urban schools develop leadership skills has received Pounds 870,000 in government funding. Teaching Leaders, developed by the National College for School Leadership, Teach First and other bodies, is a two-year programme for heads of department or year groups in London schools. The course offers conferences, masterclasses, a chance to visit another country, and to gain masters degree credits.
