LONDON’S VOICES
The Museum of London website’s new oral history project, “You cannot forget VE Day”, features people’s memories of that special day and their reflections on what the end of the war in Europe meant to them. Many had relatives still fighting in the Far East, others were displaced and could not return home and some became disillusioned when life did not improve as quickly as hoped. Users can contribute their own memories.
