You probably have to be less than five years old to appreciate the work of Hi-5, the Australian singing and dancing quintet that appears on Channel 5‘s pre-school TV breakfast strand Milkshake. But if you look past the lurid clothes and relentless cheerfulness, you will see enjoyable opportunities for linking music with other areas of learning. A pack contains a free CD, singalong versions of three songs, dance steps and suggested activities linking numbers, shapes, letters and sounds with the musical elements of pulse, pitch, dynamics and texture. One thousand packs will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Send the name of your school, school address, telephone number and headteacher’s name to Hi-5 In School, Republic Media, Studio 202, Westbourne Studios, 242 Acklam Road, London W10 5JJ
