Adrian Bailey, Labour MP for West Bromwich West, has been elected as chair of the Commons business, innovation and skills committee. Mr Bailey said: “I believe that it is the responsibility of the Government to improve skills and aspirations during difficult economic times and will be working with fellow committee members to ensure that their policies are cost-effective and deliver the skills base and manufacturing potential essential to our future.”
