Business governors flood in

An agency set up to recruit more governors from the business community to schools in inner cities exceeded its government-set target of finding 550 candidates by the end of last year. The School Governors One-Stop Shop, funded by the Department for Education and Employment, recruited 555 people for schools truggling to fill governor vacancies.
