Psion, whose Series 3 hand-held computers, such as the Acorn Pocket Book, have been such a success in schools, has just launched a high-power machine. Known as the Series 5, it uses extremely fast RISC technology to support more sophisticated software (with greater Windows compatibility) and a touch-screen controlled by a stylus. It costs Pounds 439.95 for the basic model.
