* A collaborative project between Guildford College, Microsoft, Edex, Mast Learning Systems and AST Computers has linked 30 schools in London and the South East to the Internet. They say the aim of Intranet Project is to encourage teachers and students to use the medium in day-to-day classroom work. * The Microsoft Online Instituteor MOLI, can now be foundon the World Wide Web at http:moli.microsoft.com. * Pico, the “pre-computer” from Sega, has acquired a new family to join the other nine storyware titles, such as Winnie the Pooh, Ecco the Dolphin and Pocahontas, that have helped Sega sell more than one million computer toys worldwide. Aimed at 3-5 year-olds, Pico’s latest addition, the Berenstain Bears, invites children to join them for a busy day at school. Berenstain Bears’ A School Day retails at Pounds 29.99 from toy shops. Pico costs Pounds 129.99, which includes Disney’s A Year at Pooh Corner storyware. Additional titles cost between Pounds 24.99 and Pounds 34.99.
