PARENTS want the Government to invest in childcare for the under-twos to help mothers return to work, according to a survey published this week for National Childcare Week 2000.
Almost half of the parents questioned by Mori for the National Daycare Trust, a cildcare information charity, thought working mothers generally got no help from their employers and three-quarters said there was not enough affordable, quality care. Two-thirds thought it was essential to help women return to work after having a child.
