Sports utility vehicles should be fitted with warning notices to help reduce the danger to pedestrians during the school run, the Association of Teachers and Lecturers will be told next week. Phil Whalley, a history teacher from Hardenhuish school in Chippenham, Wiltshire, will propose a motion calling on the Government to seek to change social attitudes to four-wheel-drive vehicles, particularly those fitted with bull bars.
