Cambridge to honour Chancellor Kohl;In Brief

Dons at Cambridge University have voted to award an honorary law degree to Chancellor Kohl of Germany. Senior staff voted three-to-one in favour of Chancellor Kohl being honoured, despite political controversy. In February his name was withdrawn from a list of people due to receive a degree after objections from university members.
