Camden clamps down on bullies

More than 40 per cent of children aged five to 13 living in Camden have been bullied while out of school, leading to a campaign to stamp out the problem. Education chiefs in the north London borough have launched Growing Up Safely in Camden, after it emerged that 44 per cent of children had been bullied in parks, on streets and in other open spaces. Brightly coloured anti-bullying posters designed by pupils are being displayed in bus shelters across the borough and an awareness pack will be distributed to primary schools and play centres.
