The Royal Geographical Association’s western region is running a careers symposium for geographers at Stonar School, Wiltshire, on January 28, 1. 45pm. Aimed at sixth formers and undergraduates, it will include talks on the oil industry by Edward Parker from Burmah-Castrol; National Parks by Dave Gurnett, education ranger at Exmoor; English Nature; the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds; and the Environment Agency. Tickets are Pounds 5 teachers and careers advisers, Pounds 2 students, members free from: Martyn Webster, Stonar School, Atworth, Melksham, Wiltshire SN12 8NT.
