Cash boost for Welsh schools

THE Welsh Assembly has announced a grant of pound;57.7 million to raise school standards in Wales, with pound;10m helping to reduce social disadvantage. Specific subjects, including maths, science and languages, will get pound;8m, with the same amount going to ICT, and pound;7m for induction and early professional development of new teachers.
