Principal Keith Wymer has warned that 80,000 people could be turned away from Bilston Community College, in the West Midlands, because of a budget squeeze.

The college applied for cash to teach 110,000 students from September, but was allocated funding for 30,000. Across Britain, colleges could turn away as many as 250,000 people next year because of the cash crisis.
