Using film, facts and data, React from Shell allows pupils to wise up on solar, wind, biomass and other types of renewable energy. They need to as they’re in a control centre, where the brief is to solve energy problems that come in from the world. A family want to replace a diesel generator with something less noisy; folk in Japan want to know about tide and wave power; some Guatemalan villagers want help to grow energy crops. It’s a motivating enough task, given a fun and colourful multimedia setting that will suit ages 11-14.
