A new forum of headteachers is to advise government ministers on what more can be done to protect pupils from extremism and “build bridges across communities”, Gordon Brown announced this week. The Prime Minister said schools needed to play their part in a sustained “generational challenge” to extremism. They are to be sent guidance on how to protect themselves against terrorist attacks.
