Jon Reid, the headteacher of closure-threatened Drummond Community High in Edinburgh, was one of the contributors to our August 3 item on readers’ aspirations for the coming year. “The end of a summer is always a powerful time for reflec-tion and planning forward,” he wrote, “when you feel invigorated and refreshed from the break and ready to face any challenges which lie ahead.”
Let’s hope he still feels invigorated and refreshed.
