The UN World Summit in December 2003 aimed to tackle eight goals by 2015. These included eradicating extreme poverty, providing worldwide primary schooling, reducing child death and combating Aids.
Schools are invited to choose and focus on one of the eight goals. Projects can be scientific - investigating how different countries are tackling the goal; narrative - writing stories and poetry; community based - encouraging development in the school’s surrounding area by talking to the local council and businesses; or artistic - designing posters to promote the campaign. www.eun.orggsn-schools
