Quizzes are often used as a teaching stimulus and citizenship can benefit from this approach. It is better to use quizzes as a series over several lessons. For example, students could be asked how much they know about politics before they start learning the subject. Afterwards, the same or similar questions could be asked to see how much they can recall and help them reflect on what they had learned.
