Claim, Catholics, congratulations AS a parent and recently appointed school governor I was horrified to read that a teacher is claiming industrial injury “following several days toiling over her application to pass the performance pay threshold.”
While I am prepared to accept that the teacher may be injured, even though it sounds unlikely to have been caused by the one incident, I am disappointed that she has not consideredthe example this may be setting her students; I am concerned at the amount of public funds that may be expended investigating, defending and, in the worst scenario, settling the claim; but most of all, I am amazed that the individual is willing to put up with the ridicule resulting from making the claim in the first place. Have people no pride anymore?
