The British coach driver whose vehicle plunged 70ft from a mountain road in the French Alps killing three children was convicted of manslaughter by a French court and fined Pounds 1,200. St James’s C of E School in Bolton said shortly after the accident that it considered Jim Shaw, 43, of Droylsden, Greater Manchester, blameless.
