Accrington and Rossendale College agreed to pay sacked lecturer Annette Malpass Pounds 7,700 in an out-of-court settlement offer she alleged wrongful dismissal.
Representing her through the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, Jim Munnery, the union casework officer, said the college had lost a similar case in May when an industrial tribunal decided unanimously that a colleague had been unfairly dismissed.
