Colleges to get new heads

Richard Cairns, 39, will become headmaster of the pound;17,500-a-year Brighton college in January.

Mr Cairns is deputy head at the Magdalen college school, Oxford. He succeeds Anthony Seldon, who is to become master of Wellington college, Berkshire.
