At St Mary’s Primary in Cumbernauld, 46 P6 and P7 children studied Matisse, created their own Matisse-style patterns and then voted on their three favourites to reproduce.

The children formed the company Scribbles Inc, held formal interviews for jobs in finance, advertising, selling and so on and sold shares to parents and friends to finance their project.

With the help of Our Lady’s High and using a digital camera, they printed coloured covers for notebooks of various sizes, which were determined by market research.
