I used to laconically peruse The TES, a necessary evil in the fight against educational stupidity, and then I discovered Ms Anne Thrope. I now leap in anticipation to the letter box on a Friday to be refreshed by the comic genius that is the lady in question.
My giggling has inspired some strange looks from my wife, but Ms Thrope manages to lighten my week with her acerbic wit and courageous comment. Long may she remain misanthropic.
