In your recent piece about Clarendon Academies (“The financiers who want to run 2,000 state schools - with bonuses”, 9 March), it might have been worth making the point that one of the unique features of the Clarendon model is that its educational policy is drawn in equal measure from an independent school head and the head of a leading maintained school. This allows for the best practice of both sectors to be pooled in a way that has not been attempted before.
