Through its "Young Journalist" teaching pack and competition, Reuters Foundation is aiming to promote an interest in news, current affairs and the basic principles of good journalism among students aged 11 to 16. The pack covers the analysis of news stories, writing a summary, arguing a case, researching and writing an article and the importance of accuracy, balance ad clarity. Entries should be in by the end of the spring term. Winning students will be invited to London to visit Reuters' editorial offices, and the top school will receive a year's free access to the online service, Reuters Business Briefing.
